Having a gap from Social media allowed me to be more present in conversations face to face and to interact with my family friends and close ones. This helped me to improve good relations with them and eventually live a happy life.
Reduced Stress and Anxiety
Social media influence makes us constantly check notifications, messages, posts,s and pictures. This made my life stressful. Having a break helped me to reduce stress and anxiety. This is how disconnecting from social media improved my mental health.
Greater Appreciation for the Present Moment
With constantly interacting with Social media, I was unaware of the thing happening around the surroundings. Having a break from Social media created a sense of mindfulness and gratitude.

Keep Away From Comparison and Competition
Social media is a great platform to make friends and share a good time, but can sometimes promote a sense of comparison and competition, which can be a loss to creativity. Comparison and Comparison can also have sometimes negative effects on one’s personal life.
Obtain Valuable Time
Yes, taking a break from Social media can definitely help me obtain time. When I’m not checking my phone or scrolling through social media, I didn’t get that extra time to work that I loved.
For example, I had the hobby of reading, gardening, exercising, and spending time with my friends. Also, I got that extra time to relax and admire the nature around me. This is how I understood the Positive outcomes of a social media detox.
Continuous calls, message alerts, and Social media had reduced my hours of sleep. Sleeping late at night and waking early made my body more harm than good.
